Highland Park High School officials say they’re continuing with the school day despite the discovery of another threatening note.
This one was found at the top of a stairwell by a University Park police officer.
Yesterday school officials dismissed students early after the discovery of bullets in a boys’ bathroom. Four additional threatening notes have been found in a separate boys’ bathroom in the past six weeks.
In a letter to parents and staff on the Highland Park ISD website, school officials said they have no reason to believe the note is a credible threat.
FBI agents and armed police officers are on campus today as part of a stepped-up security plan and to question students.
A school district spokesperson says officials are looking at video recorded by hallway cameras to determine who entered the bathrooms where the notes and bullets were found.
The high school is also limiting access to the building and restricting use of the bathrooms.
