Tricia Schwennesen

Tricia Schwennesen is the Web Producer/News Editor for Texas Public Radio where she manages the station’s web site and social media accounts.

She works closely with reporters to help develop story ideas and transform radio stories for use online. Tricia is developing her digital skills tool box and creating rich multimedia stories that engage and inform news consumers.

She is a native San Antonian and an active member of the San Antonio Association of Hispanic Journalists. As a former Unity Journalists of Color Mentor Program participant and a former Knight Fellow, Tricia recognizes the importance of mentorship within the journalism community and strives to offer support to less experienced, and student journalists.

She has a strong belief in community engagement and has served as the board chairwoman for two area nonprofits, the Martinez Street Women’s Center and the now defunct Media Justice League. She loves breakfast tacos and being a mom.

Colleagues, friends and family described Detective Benjamin Marconi as "a rock," someone "imperfectly perfect," and a man who believed in always giving others a second chance.

He was kind and a good role model with the ability to put people at ease. From Monday's service, it was clear he was dearly loved by his children, respected by his colleagues and trusted by the community.
